I think Treyarch tactics... They'll leave BO2 alone now, and allow it to get worse and worse. It works out in their benefit.
The more hackers, cheaters, modders, or people tweaking their BO2 game, encourage people to buy newer releases, Ghosts, Advnaced Warfare.
Also, the more modders disturbing the PS3 gameplay, may possibly encourage users to switch to a more premium service... PS4?
So while we're all laughing, the last laugh is still had by Treyarch and Sony.
Sony release a new console, coders/programmers patch files, and crack it. So they release a newer console, and up the price. Coders patch it... So they release another newer console and charge more and more and more per new console release until eventually the encryption and technology is just too high to crack?
I suppose Sony have the resources to release an uncrackable system... But doing that now would lead to no further customers progressing. You need a cause at the bottom to push the customers upwards towards the newer more expensive systems.
