yea thats normal for you but if your someone else and you change your model they will see you as a sentry gun not under it

Yep thats normal. I think i saw something on here about not using setmodel on yourself (for that rreason) but instead doing the following;

-hide yourself (self hide())
-spawn your model u want to become
-link the model to you (model linkto)...dont link yourself to the model as you will stay with the model...link the model to you
