In my case, when my own PS3 got the Blue Screen, I could not access the Recovery Mode at all, which, if that happens, relatively makes this whole tutorial moot.

The real solution is to reformat your PS3 HDD via PC.

well it works both ways if u use this firmware it deletes the hdd info for the blue screen wont show
