ON HOW TO BECOME A BETTER COD PLAYER! [GB][LEAGUE]

You must login or register to view this content.[/CENTER]

Ello I'm Crave I've been keeping a 2.50+KD since BO1 and playing GB and league on black ops 2 for a while now and I just want to share to people a strategy guide base on all my knowledge that want to get better physically and mentally on Black Ops 2 :y:

1. Turn that fucking sensitivity up as you get better don't be afraid to turn that sensitivity up! It helps both your reaction time and aim time. If you find a sensitivity is to high or too low try experimenting with other sensitivity and see which one fits to your liking.

2. Perks: when playing league or gb these I found were the most common used.
[HIGHLIGHTED GREEN IS WHAT I COMMONLY USE]
Flak Jacket
Toughness
Tactical Mask
Dexterity
Awareness
Deadsilence
Fast hands

These perks will help you react faster and resist faster from oncoming enemy attacks.

3. Guns: most common guns used. Mostly because of there accuracy and damage
M8A1
MSMC
Fal
Mp7
An-94
NO LMG I can not stress this enough when I see target finder and suppressor on this weapon pisses me the fuck off!! Trust me if you wanna get better don't use lmg, their heavyweight low mobility and without quickdraw you won't last long on a 1v1 gunfight. Unless you camp with this gun or headglitch it won't get you very far..

4. Attachments: these effectively increase your accuracy, recoil and reaction time..
Quickdraw- Aim down quicker
Red dot- become more accurate
Grip- Recoil
Fast Mag- Faster reload the faster you can get back on gunfights
Extended Mag- Longer Mag more chances to take down your enemy!
Target Finder
Fmg

5. Scorestreaks: These streaks will be easier to get and will have more effectiveness
uav
counter uav
lightning strike
hellstorm
sentry gun
death machine
war machine
[Higher killstreak] WARNING don't use these killstreacks if your not going to get them often it will ruin your objective play and teamwork.
orbit vsat
stealth chopper
warthhog Lodestar
K9 Unit
Swarm

6. Playing objective strategies I use.
Domination: 1 person cap your spawn flag and the rest rush to B! Now do not get on it instantly! kill your opposing enemies first near the flag before you get on it, if you do this the moment they die they will spawn all the way to their spawn which will give you time to cap it make sure its clear...
Keeping B flag: Camp building or nearest area of the flag if you control these spots, the most likely you will keep them away from the flag.. Headglitch spots are nice so are corners.
Tactical insertions are nice when playing league but in GB its not aloud.

Kill confirmed: Strategy 1 : Stay in pairs of 2 or 3 see if you stay in pairs if the person you are paired with dies the will be most likely hurt or trying to get your friends tag at this time you can take him down! you get his tag and your teamates tag..
Strategy 2: Camp in a building or area this way your teamates can get your tag if you die and your enemies tag easier without exposing yourself... [WARNING] don't strangle off, this will change the spawn and will cause more of your teamates to become stranglers! If this happens make your way to your teamates Asap.

Hardpoint: you do not need your whole team on the objective! have 2 or 3 on the objective and a couple patrolling the hardpoint area. After 10-15 seconds start transitioning to the next hardpoint while 1 or 2 people are on the objective this way you can keep the spawn and be ahead of your enemy!
Note: If you think your enemy is already on the next hardpoint go ahead and send 1-2 people over there to switch the spawn and to gain hardpoint advantage.

Search and Destroy: My favourite gametype: AWARNESS AND DEADSILENCE These perks are your bestest friend when it comes to this objective if you have a gaming headset use these perks as your advantage! it is ok to camp the best way to get your enemy on this objective is to let them come to you.. the best way to win this objective is make plays then push up! Never go for a gunfight head on unless you know were the enemy is other then that you will have 50/50 survival rate. It is better if you go in pairs this way you know one person has got your back.

CTF(capture the flag): 2 defending and 4 attacking this way you will have 2 people defending the objective and 4 trying to grab the flag. I use the same tactic as SND "make plays then push up" in otherwords kill then move upwards to the objective. Since there is a 7 Sec delay making plays will decrease the enemy players by 7 sec in this time is you use to grab the flag! If your defending teammates lose the flag and its up to you to grab them I use this strategy: try to get ahead of the flag holder most likely he will have bodygards at this point camp ahead you think the flag grabber is going to come and let the 2-3 enemies pass you see if you do this it will give you a advantage since they think that spot is clear:p
Note: I know this sound noobish but almost all pro gamers use these strategies if you want to win use these strategies with your teammates.

7: Playing Smart!
Now this is how to get better aim and confidence. I know some people just run and spray.. don't be these people! My friends are usually like this and I end up twice the amount in score, kills, defends everything. When playing think about staying alive! if someone is shooting with a headglitch with a LMG and you have SMG at long distance think!! would you engage at that gun fight? noooooooo best way is to make them think you went around which you didn't Winky Winky and go the opposite way which you can take him down!

When it comes to down to multiple people at one spot go around them and throw a stun or flash to take them! if their not paying attention go for it, but if you face them on its most likely the person you left from the enemy group will take you out!

If your connection is bad don't go starting 1v1 gun battles unless that enemy has a alot worst internet then you.
Objective wise: Think on domination, hardpoint objectives that need capping what do you think they will do to take you out? Stuns and grenades so you use Flak Jacket and Tactical Mask. If your playing CTF and your playing offence; use Extreme conditioning and tactical mask so when your carrying the flag you won't slow down.

Never stay at one spot for to long! if you take out a enemy, another enemy will find were you are and prefire you! PLAY SMART!

8. NEVER QUIT ON YOUR TEAMATES WHEN YOUR ON A PARTY! I CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH IF YOU QUIT YOU LOSE AND YOUR TEAMATES WILL TOO AND I DON'T THINK THEY WILL LIKE THAT!

sorry I have a lot of grammar mistakes :/ but I hope you grasp this concept :y:

Very good thread, however I have some contradictions :p

1) No way. 5 is as high as you should go competitively if you want to stay accurate as an anchor/slayer

2) You should note awareness is only really useful in SnD, as is Dead Silence. Many slayers prefer to rush in other game modes

3) The point of playing competitively is to win. LMG's all the way for some. I prefer the M8A1 as an anchor myself. All guns have hindrances, if I tried sniping you from 15 feet when you had an MSMC, I'd be dead.

4) Wouldn't bother with Ext Mags. Also, on competitive playlists you will not need target finder.

5) In a competitive match-up, don't ever go for high kill streaks unless you're a slayer. Also, get everybody to rock sentries on CTF.

6) Dom + KC aren't official GB/League game modes. Still, nice points. For HP, try to teach chokes, swaps and flushes. Also, anchors shouldn't patrol. They should camp with their M8A1/AN-94 for the most points possible.

7) NEVER take on more than one person unless you truly have to. Even with their backs turned, these players know what they're doing, and they will kill you. I predict you're s slayer, learn the spawn points, and get behind them.

Nice thread! Although i highly disagree with #1.
I used to play with an 8 On MW3 and now i play on a 4 on BO2 (4=2 on mw3) & i have noticed alot of improvements in my aim and i turn on people just fine.
Also I think most if not all pro players like OpTic play with a 3-5 sensitivity.

I don't know if its just me but I play way better on 12-13 then a 3-5 idk if its just me? but I tend to snap on my enemies quicker and turn around faster if the enemies shooting me in the back. I guess its based on personal preference and experimenting.

You cant Use awareness in GB.
08-10-2013, 01:15 AM #8
It seems to me that all your thread is doing is promoting camping... You advise people to "stay back" and use "awareness" , which if you ask ANY highly skilled player (No I do not mean anyone who has gotten a nuclear I'm talking about people who have won Tournaments and or Money playing CoD), they will strongly disagree with you. Sensitivity for example is strictly a personal preference, although I play on 14, I know many players who have won thousands of dollars using sensitivities as low as 3. Also as -Law mentioned Awareness is banned in GB. I'm aware that you may play MLG Variant or something of the manner where Flak Jacket and other perks/attachments are allowed, but by far the most popular setting is GB Variant, which does not allow many of the attachments/perks you have listed. ALSO you say don't run randomly spraying, if you are truly a good player that is exactly what you do (except you make it sound like something its not). Good players will always look for gunfights and as many enemies as possible, the objective of any game mode is to get kills whether it be an objective game mode such as S&Awesome face or a game mode focusing on strictly kills, such as TDM. All-in-all I think this is a good thread BUT NOT for competitive, or at least not for GB. This may work well in League play, and I'm sure it works great in public matches but I guarantee you do not get far in GB using these tactics. Although I am not willing to give out my GB name on this particular forum, I will tell you that I have legitimately had a 1st place team in EVERY game since Mw2, some for only 1 season and some for up to 3 seasons straight. Like I said its not a bad thread but I do believe it is misleading, I would advise you to take GB out of the title and just leave it as a League Play/Public Match guide, but either way, best of luck.
