Looking at how we extract the game files and we have access to them, couldn't we just replace files, for instance an EBOOT.bin. If we used got a pkg game like call of duty, and replaced the eboot file with a modded one, then installed the file onto our ofw PS3, wouldn't it work? We could install a antiban eboot or something, surely? Also, Sony wouldn't detect the files as homebrew, so your PS3 wouldn't be banned, or would it? It would be awesome if someone could help me out with this, because, In my head, it makes perfect sense.

You can't use modded EBOOT files on OFW, but certain mods use other files and may work. I got MW2 mods working on OFW 4.70. Check my profile for tutorial.
I think there is definitely more possibilities with this. I successfully put a MW2 patch_mp.ff on my OFW without its IDPS. Why exactly don't modded eboots work? Will the game just not load or something? I understand a debug eboot not working but what about an eboot with just UAV and some other things? I'm curious with this one...
