In order to start modding on zombies, of course you need a Custom Firmware console. Above that, you need to download a modding tool for zombies or a GSC Menu of some sort. Use an Anti-Ban EBOOT to avoid getting banned from the game.

You need a jailbroken ps3, you can get a E3 flasher to flash the ps3 yourself to 3.55 or either just purchase a jailbroken ps3 it may cost a little more but it is worth it. That is what i recommend doing because flashing it yourself will take a bit of time to do.
