I don't think that's possible with a "mod." I'm afraid if it's not in the settings of the game, you're out of luck.

I found something called "Buttons Layout Changer v1.3 by Rogero",
but it says that It is compatible with PS3 FW Version 3.41 & 3.55 only.
Do u know anything about it?

if u jb ur ps3 it is possible to change it up, but that homebrew may work for ya not sure

or just make a controller mod

theres probably some kind of scuf controller u can buy

You can most likely find a button remapper with modded controllers, also if I remember right there was a button behavior setting in Debug Settings on the PS3 (jailbroken).
