The only thing you lose when you go idle for awhile is the tally's (which means you also lose blue eyes). Why the fuck can't you people understand that? You're not losing your actual rank, you are only lose your blue eyes. I've gone idle for a month and came back with the same rank (shotguns). There are only 5 ranks in zombies.
1 One bone
2 Double bones
3 Skull
4 Skull with knife
5 Shotguns
There is no "rank 6."
Anyway, if you want to get shotguns then listen to timmyg52. All the little kids still think shotguns has to do with K/D... Its all based on the rounds you've been to. I can even prove it... I made a new account, got to round 102-114 with it a good 5 or 7 times in a row, and I slowly went from bones to skull, skull to knife, and then shotguns. I had 200 kills and over 700 downs with shotguns legit. That's a 0.2 K/D...

I had my split screen controller logged in as another user while my main account sat in a glitch and killed all the zombies. The only time my second controller would get kills is when red instakill came up and zombies ran into him. After a few games he went from bone to skull, skull to knife, and a few more got him the shotguns with more downs than kills.
