In the time that it takes for the scope to correct itself you would be able to shoot another person with a regular scope. Does it really matter if the ACOG has a better zoom with a regular scope you probably would be able to see the same target as you would with the ACOG scope. So why do people still prefer it over a regular scope?

well people use it because some people probably dont like the regular scope for the sniper rifles and i like to use an ACOG scope for the M40A3 gun

Some people use it because it takes a while to unlock so they show it off some people get used to it and mostly no scopers like me use it because it scopes in waaay faster then a regular scope for killing near by enemies but when you want to kill an enemy from far away and just camp then regular scope is best by far

Its fast, easy and good for no scoping

its more fun plus u can use the snip at closer range

I dont know if this is true but ACOG has a glitch in some weapons. Like the M40A3 Sniper with ACOG is said to kill one shot anywhere above the feet, so its good for no-scoping.
