Tip #1. Make sure neither of your code files are over 1kb. If they're 2kb or anything higher, your codes will not work.
Tip #2. People talk about going to split screen to make sure their codes work, well here's a shorter way. When you go to multiplayer, before you press play online, press the PS button - go to account management - Press triangle - press X on "Auto Sign-In OFF". Then exit xmb and hit play online, your codes should work. Just always remember to turn auto-sign in back ON because you have to do this every time to ensure your codes to work.
I do not take credit for discovering either of these tips, just trying to help some people out

you got to rfom bypass then it will make a save game that is different than the regular one you got to copy that to flash drive then copy it to your comp then you got to put the codes you want in the copy it back to the ps3 and you will be able to bypass with rfom. the reason it worked on the patch blocker is because it was in the cod4 folder but in order to work on rfom it must be in rfom folder which is titled BCUS98107-AUTO-
