Getting back to your question......
If you didn't KNOW about the patch/glitch as you say then you definitely just joined a game while the host had the modified patch running. The "infections" only last until you back out to the main menu but you should have been instantly leveled up to 55>>that will stick.

i did back out when i realised that all the bullets in the world and stabs
were not killing this one kid ( by the way whoever that was i owned you and you know it ) i was already a 55 gold but it completed all my challenges aswell ( which was nice ) but the infection seems to have lasted as it still displays team tier on create class and challenges still done but how do i use god mode and other benefits of team tier thanks

lolits not an infection changing your class names.....
Infections are:
-laser
-wall hack
-constant uav
-big uav
-big names
-ect......

This is not an infection....
You only have these as either a HOST or a participant in a challenge lobby...
The only way you can CHOOSE to use/have these options is if you own a (3.41)jailbroken ps3 and transfer hacked patches from that to your (3.55)online ps3. OR Down grade your 3.50 to 3.41 and transfer patches then update your ps3 to 3.55..... Otherwise you must friend someone with that capability or get lucky again and join a lobby with a patch running.
my gamer tag is w8t4it on ps3. Just make sure you message me with nextgenupdate in the the message....
