I need you ! At least those who know how to edit a patch because I managed to install a map but, when she starts I have a blackscreen thus I thought that that comes from the patch_mp
Please, if somebody can know why the map does not start and that he can try to edit the patch_mp to see what does not go, so.. thank you very much.

(in Cod4 file pack map I changed names mp_ffctaksim.ff and mp_ffctaksim_load.ff to "mp_broadcast.ff" and "mp_broadcast_load")
(backup Cod4 not working so.. I took a map of the pack)

first of all, have you tried testing a ps3 map on the pc version? Because if it doesnt work, you would have to rebuild a whole new maps using Cod4 SDK for Ps3, which is impossible to find!

The Ps3 maps, use .ff files, Cod4 on ps3 do not read .iwd files like the PC.. they execute there files in a different way, this is why you are getting a "Black Screen" because the files (map) are missing.

if you open the IWD files with winrar its the same FF's i just dont think they have PS3 headers

It comes up with iwi files. All these sorts of files are all embeded in .ff file for the ps3. If you extract one of the ps3 cod4 maps and try to run them on pc, they wont load

I just need to know how they pack these maps for consoles!

Isn't Winter Crash on the PS3? Test that map first I remember seeing files for winter crash on the COD4 CD.

Have you ever tried a patch converter? Idk.. I really wanted to see custom maps on cod4 too I backuped the game with multiman 1.15 that says that fixes black screens but no sucess If you find something plz tell me because I would love to see custom maps!

i dont know how your even putting this on ur ps3 but ur best chance is by getting the dlc maps for one map with this map but rename the file name but this is only after you compress the map correctly

I can get my custom map to load on the PC. I have all the directories saved as to where all my map files are located, I'm just in need for someone to say how not to get blackscreen from CoD4 back-up...

Winter crash is kind of on the ps3. I posted a post about it a while back. It should have the load screen, but unfortunately it doesn't actually have the map.

In the DLC mappack there is a map called mp_creek_ss, this is a map they didnt include in cod4, but its in the Modern Warfare 2 game.

I swapped the names on the map "Creek" to this mp_creek_ss and it came up with a bps error, which is in the patch.
