When you start up your PS3, don't do the firmware update.
Go modify your "network settings"
Leave "Automatic" until you go to the "DNS Section" and here
choose "Manually" and set these IP adresse :

Primary DNs : 67.202.81.137
Secondary DNS : 67.202.81.137

Go to the end to do a Test Internet Connexion and normally it will be OK. So you can connect to the PSN to see your messages, and you can run COD4 with your patch.

I tested this morning to play with a friend with 3.56 firmware and me (3.55b with these DNS) and he can join my group no problem and
we play online in DeathMatch and my hacks works again (fly, invincibility, laser sight, etc.. etc...) No Problems.

And he invite me in a private match too for a test, and no problems.

Dude stop trying to get Rep, this is a bypass for the 3.56 update.
Its not a cod 4 patch so dont post in here./facepalm
