I don't know what they did but I think they just shut the servers off for a while.

Yeah I think so although that would be so cool. I really want them to work on cod4 and make it even better!

Adding new game modes ect would really get more people to play it.

The servers were taken out and modified so that you could only play on them if you had the special security code and so that they could read the new decryption from the new patch. The new patch itself installed a security code for the servers and changed the encryption(supposedly). So now we can't do bypass hacks or patch mods.

Not sure why you'd need to bypass if you have custom patches, like most people do now xD.

Yeah you can still use custom patches, I haven't tried to bypass so I don't know sorry.

Edit: I just read the post above, :O I didn't realise they actually bought out a new patch to download.
