It might be your vista, there has been a problem with it in general apparently. Something about the admin file going into back up mode or something. Basically just google the problem and you'll find a tut on how to fix it.
If the problem is vista you shouldn't be able to log into the admin file. You can in safe mode though.

That happens for everyone. Today I tried this proxy method for the first time and that happened for me too. But then I just closed the connection test. Then later on in the tutorial when you actually start the proxy, it will work. So just continue the tutorial and forget about that.
