Well if you tried that long then it just doesn't work for you. You probably don't have a strong or fast connection.

Mines fast... I think, takes 2 mins to download the update...

You've downloaded the update? If so, that's your problem. Press O to cancel, not X.

Well, In the PS3 you need to press X to cancel.... That's in my PS3, yours might be different as I got mine after it got released.

well atm lots of peoples arent woprking i think its cause their working with making a new patch or something not to sure though
