There are 3 types of sniping, these are:

Stealth sniping
Stealth sniping is where you go to a place right at the start of the game, lay some claymores down at the doors and just snipe from there.
The perks that stealth snipers usually have are:

Claymore
UAV Jammer
Dead Silence/Iron Lungs

As a stealth sniper your kills will vary, it depends on which map your playing on and it depends on how good you are and if your spots good.
One things for sure though, if you know how its done then you probably wont get many deaths.

Retard Run
The retard run is where you just put on a acog scope and just sprint around the map like a retard trying to quick/no scope people.
Nine times out of ten you'll get killed before you kill anyone.
But Heres a bit of advice: only do the retard run if your good at it or otherwise you'll probably finish bottom of the table.
The perks that retard runners usually use are:

Frag x3
Juggernaut/Sleight of hand
Steady aim

Stealth Run
The Stealth Run is half and half between the other two.
Personally, this is my favoriute style for sniping.
all that you need to do for this is but an acog scope on and camp a little and then run out to get some kills so its not that hard.
The perks that stealth runners use are:

Bandolier
Stopping Power
Steady Aim.


By the way
The best sniper on the game is the M40A3 so try and use this as much as you can and because the M21 And Draganov are Shi* Dont use them. They're for noobs.
