Get all of your guns to 149/150 kills
go into a match and use each gun from class 1-5
aquire the 5000 XP
flick the switch or unplug your ethernet cable from your PS3
it will give you various error message, most likely "Network Connection Lost" or "You Must Be Signed In With A Valid PS3 Account" (or something)
Plug it back in or flick the switch back and you will have received the 5000 XP
Goto Barracks > Challenges and notice your guns are still at 149/150

this does not work

I have wireless.

PS3 upstairs, router/modem downstairs and so are computers. I brought my laptop upstairs which has Net Tools and uses the same internet connection as the PS3.

I done the whole thing with the UPD Flooder, and it turns the internet off of the laptop but doesn't effect the PS3..

what am I doing wrong?

I tried pressing the PS button and signing out of PSN.. i tested it three times and it doesn't give you any XP.. but it looks like it does

It says you've unlocked ACOG scope (when you go back online) and also in the game summary it says you've earning 'x' amount of XP, however the XP doesn't actually do anything, kind of like a private match. You don't actually have ACOG either, it just says you've unlocked it, your kills are reset and your XP hasn't moved at all.

I dont think this would work,
cause i got wireless and if this would work it should work whe nu get d/c or signed out from playstation network.. so athleast i dont think it works for wireless :S thats what i think.. but anyway feel free to try it and anyother ways of ranking up quick ? please tell me since iam going for gold cross

wow great post im very interested in this. have a p10 l55 acc but shit kdr cos learnt to play on it would like to put in the time and get a new one up there with good kdr to show my skill. but what is a glitch switch aka stand by ?
