Activision has just revealed some information regarding DLC and some slight detail on Elite in Black ops 2.
A new page on the call of duty website tells us about the Season Pass of Black ops 2.

A new website on CallofDuty.com has revealed that Black Ops 2 will have a season pass for DLC:

So what do we expect?

Get 4 Call of Duty®: Black Ops 2 downloadable content Map Packs, delivering a variety of new content, including Multiplayer and Zombies playable content.

So buying the season pass will save you a total of $10 if you were to buy the map packs separately.
Retail price is estimated £34.99 so that seems about right for 4 map packs saving around £6.
Now no news whether or not it will be like mw3 and "content drops" but I'm hoping black ops 2 will bring us a similar quantity of dlc that mw3 had.

Elite

Elite will be free!
Thats right, we will not be paying for elite.
some features of Elite will include:

The Season pass is for DLC and supposedly unrelated to Elite.

Microsoft and Sony may care about exclusive rights but gamers don't. Most premium members got it for cheaper overall price, and clan stuff. Why the hell would anyone want a 30 day heads up on new maps? 3-7 day advantage maybe but even that is unnecessary. Xbox has 1 month exclusive which is fine but that Premium vs regular shit had to go. 360 premium then PS3 premium then regular 360 then regular PS3 like wtf.


I hated having to wait 2-3 months for a DLC collection to come out just to get more players in Ground War.

I wonder how many MP maps and how many Zombie maps this will include?

I hope the Season Pass is not going to be worth lots of money, trying to save some money

I am happy that, The regular and premium stuff has gone will just be released all at once! For everyone as I said before IW have some bad ideas!

Previously we have seen around 3-4 multiplayer maps and 1 zombie map per map pack.
So I guess it will be similar to that :p

will probably be more zombie maps as they are pushing it more and more now

im just gonna wait until ps plus users get discount to buy

I'm going to pass on this. The maps are going to have to blow me away for me to even buy it. Lately it hasn't been worth it
