Jesus Christ, quit posting this nonsense. My cousin was both console banned and account banned from ops 1 and is playing online with the same account and ps3 on ops 2 just fine.

NO Idiot clearly you never been banned on black ops 1, you get the exact message on BO1 when your instantly banned, you do not get -YOUR BANNED- you get these --YOUR BANNED - messages when you are banned for boosting and glitching but not the server bans, they read as-BLACK OPS 2 SERVERS NOT AVVAILABLE AT THIS TIME - bla bl bla

For any other modders who modded black ops 1 having the ban text come up try this
all you others,, well. F@#k off
a few friends and i have had this problem on our ps3 which we used to mod bo1 and over 20 other on our friends list who also modded are getting the ban text as in bo1.
We have also gone on to other new playstations and played the game just perfectly using other newer accounts, but when we log in with the account we 1st tried on the new ps3 we get the ban text.
This isnt a coincident folks,
what a lot of us have done is this
-delete the bo1 game data and save data
- deleted the original (main) account on the ps3 that was used to mod black ops 1
(also delete all other accounts which you were banned from bo1 or have recently modded from)
- create new ps3 id and use this for your new main account and load black ops 2 and updates.
All should be just fine and you should be able to play the game.
- this has worked for most of use who modded bo1 and cant use the same account on black ops 2.

You sir are full of poo, my friend who is permanently banned (console ban) on Black ops 1 is now playing kill confirmed on nuketown 2025, on the acount he did the 15th eboot hack

Ok, i also have no problem with an account i did the 15th prestige hack on, but however the all the accounts which were modded zombies all have been give the ban text on bo2, how knows man, it could be for the modders who raped the leader boards on bo1 zombies. All i do know though is its very hard not to believe treyach game a lot of user a red flag on there servers, like i mentioned before, i am only sharing opinion and whats going on with a lot, again a lot of users whom i know. You can bitch and moan all you want, if this was really a server error on their part my accounts should work on bo2, and others work on the same ps3, and when i go on to another newer ps3 with those accounts i get the bo1 type ban text, i do believe there are a lot of people who got fucked in the clean up by treyarch

Both are resolved.
In some cases, if you see this message, it doesn't mean the servers are down. It means you can't connect to us. Check your Friends list, or Recent Players. If people are playing, but you are not, it's been 1 of 2 things (so far):

1. Connection issue between you and us. Often temporary.
2. A problem with the login/authentication servers.



I frequently look at this URL, which gives me a basic snap shot of the state of the Internet. Although clearly this doesn't represent your local ISP, it does a reasonable at perdicting backbone trouble.
