If you are one of the few unlucky PS3 users who have been experiencing these issues from day one, could you please spare a few minutes to help out in my investigation. All results will be sent to Activision support once i have gathered enough intel to assist them. Please answer these questions in a serious manner so the intel is accurate.

- Do you own a CFW PS3? 3.41,3.55,4.21.
- Have you attempted you spoof it? If so, using which method.
- Have you data transfered from your CFW PS3 to your OFW PS3 since spoofing your CFW PS3?
- Are you banned on you CFW PS3?

If you are wondering why im asking these types of questions, it's cause I've started to see a consistant pattern within the users experiencing these issues, which is a majority of them have or had a CFW PS3 recently. The casue may be something you might of installed onto your FTP program while attempting to spoof your PS3. I may be completely off, but it's a probable theory.

I'm starting to think this is a ban... All of my accounts i had modded xp on are getting the same error.

I called activision about it yesterday, and he said that "they" put in a new anti-cheat system, he doesn't know many details about it, but he also said that in the tradition of CoD, they never carry bans..

(example) if you're banned on BO1, you won't be banned on BO2.

Impossible. If it was a modified file that can be transferred via data transfer, then the problem would be resolved by erasing your hard drive. However, this fails to resolve the problem. If it was a file that is not transferable via transfer, then it would be updated when you update your firmware. But this doesn't solve it either.

Tried out Black ops on backup and works flawlessly. It's defiantly a problem on their end in terms on connections.

I can confirm that this is an account ban. I have never been Jailbroken nor have I ever had CFW installed before but Craptivision and Failarch have decided to screw me over, yet again.

And I dont think support would have made those grammatical mistakes.

Probably, I think the anti-cheat system is for Elite, not just BO2.. He couldn't go into detail about it because he didn't know much about it, and he didn't wanna speculate.

Ok i have a CFW ps3, my other ps3 has mw2 cl on it and i was perm banned on black ops 1 for hacking. (my sister has a ofw ps3 never been hacked, it has not been used for 1year, i tried mmy main acc on her ps3 and it dosnt work but her account works. my account i made back in 2010 is the only account that works for bops 2.. i think ill use it as a main because im already level 40.. hence i played my main account at my cousins and it works fine... maybe my disk? i have a american disc using it in australia
