The prestige glitch video got over 200,000 views!

Do the maths..
That would allow 20,000 people to go from 0-10th prestige.. 20,000 people!
Obviously not everyone went to 10th, so 20,000 is pretty likely the minimum number of people who did it.
Some people didn't go to 10th, some only did a few prestiges, making this number even bigger!

I'm amazed at how many people would be stupid enough to try to do this.

I tend to stay away from Hacks/Mods on COD. Not worth a ban.

I have seen a very large number of people with extremely high prestige levels and low play-time. I'm not surprised the file has had so many views. Many people on my friends list have done it, too.

I love how all of the PS3 guys are saying it's going to be a console ban, because they MODDED their EBOOTS (which warrant a console ban in the Treyarch policy), is what's going to happen to the Xbox guys, for using an exploit that was found in one of the in game features.


I don't even know why you guys would think they are going to be fair like that anyhow. Look at Black Ops 2 on the PS3, it's still broken. If this glitch was on the PS3, it'd be console bans because Treyarch hates the PS3. There are people right now, trolling through the PS3 code to find proof that Treyarch ported their game again instead of developing it stand alone and along side with they Xbox like they should have.

The WORST anyone will get for this is a temp ban, week or two at most. All of your emblems will be gone (you'll have to remake them), all of your leaderboard stats will be deleted. You'll be permanently banned from the leaderboards. You'll be level 1 prestige 0 and have to start all over again. That will be the worst of it.

Now I know what you're saying, but Cryptic it was a Prestige Glitch and we got console banned on the PS3 for that. I know, but the two, while the same result was obtained, was carried out in different matters.

The person who made the modded Theater file is fucked. He/She will be permanently banned and console banned. The users of the video will receive the above.

The difference is that we didn't have to mod anything. Just get the clip from the theater watch it and we were done. We didn't have to mod the file, and execute it from a flash drive or the HDD or anything, which under the Treyarch policy warrants a console ban. What we did falls under the glitch category which only warrants the above.

I know that it isn't fair, that if this VERY SAME right down to the last . glitch was on PS3 that they'd console ban y'all is not fair. At this point I side with y'all. It should only be the above, not a console ban on all platforms.

I am not worried about my account, and no one has been banned or reset yet that I know of.

Whenever the next TU comes out, Xbox people, I suggest you delete anything having to do with BO2 off of your Cloud and HDD, then update. Before updating, unlink you're Elite accounts. Not saying 100% that this will save y'all, but it did in BO1, so who knows.

I doubt I buy another COD. It's not fair to the PS3 guys every year that their version is complete shit (the DLC contract with Microsoft is 100% fair and legit though), and to everyone that the games launch with a fuck load of bugs. I know I am not buying another IW COD. Treyarch is slowly losing a fan in me.

There won't be a console ban...It's a glitch. The only person getting console banned is the person who made the hacked/glitched clip. You really think they will console ban over 200k people? Makes no sense.
