The next time you think about glitching to prestige in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, you may want to take a quick look at Treyarch's Security & Enforcement Policy, which the company tweeted shortly after news of a new glitch started to spread among the Black Ops 2 community.
I'm not entirely sure of the process as I tend to level up the fair way, but it's said to involve watching a video on the built-in CoD TV. Doing so will let you instantly rank up to level 55 without the need to mod the game files, the consoles themselves, or hack multiplayer lobbies.
If you do decide to glitch the system, it doesn't look like you'll be able to enjoy your new rank for long. Treyarch has already tweeted: "Noticed a few “level 10” guys ruining the party for everyone…enjoy your new rank while it lasts. Solution (and demotions) incoming."
They then posted a follow-up tweet: "FYI...in the short term, Edited Films and Emblems will be unavailable. Back online as soon as possible."
Looks like they have figured out the source of the problem and are already working on a fix. Honestly though, why would you waste your time glitching? The whole point of repeatedly playing multiplayer is to rank up to Prestige level 10. Why would you cheat through the system and then have nothing to work towards?

Haa! Glad I didn't do the Glitch. We all know Treyarch is strict with their rules, Don't glitch or hack if you don't want to be banned.

Cool, now let's hope Treyarch follows up with this and actually does something about it. I did this and am patiently going to wait for my punishment. I'll give them until 12/8. Come on Treyarch.

I laugh at these scare tactics used by activision.. Mw3 also had a scare tactic when it came to the prestige token glitchers.. Majority of the people reset from the token glitch was from snitches, not IW.. And there were a shit load of people who were not reset from doing the token glitch.. And where are all the so called big names on NGU that were 100% sure that everyone would be reset from the token glitch?? They are tucking thier tails in, and have lock jaw, because they were wrong!!

Everyone seems to point at the Black ops prestige hack, and say, ooooohhh better watch out, activision does not mess around anymore, its not worth it, console ban.. But the difference then was, activision did not use a scare tactic, they just rolled out an update, and BAMMMM!! Console ban.. They did not warn anyone.. And now they are warning us, not to do this, because we will be reset.. LMAO!! I am more worried about the snitches in the lobby reporting me, than activision.. If activision could roll out an automatic ban, like they did in black ops, they would not be warning us.. They would do it the same way they did it in black ops, un announced, and unexpected.. My 2 cents...

I personally don't care about rank hacks/glitches even challenge complete hacks etc. That doesn't effect my gaming. I have no interest in the leaderboards. But I see how many people take offence to leaderboard hacks, those who actually need a game for recognition. You can be max level or whatever, and still be beaten by a rank 1. Your rank doesn't show your skill level, it's just a number/badge.

I prefer unranked games in some sense, like custom modes.

Hacks and glitches that actually ruin a game for me are like aimbots, lag switches, godmode, etc. Things that actually effect the outcome of a game/match. Your rank won't effect the game in any way except show you played the game more or whatever.

It's just my opinion.

Are people not bored with glitching, Surely when we were spawning care package fortresses on MW2 that was as far as we could go?
