(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); New News/Update: Apparently the 1.04 fixed the server even though they said we were "banned". The 1.04 has fixed the issue for many people. Try to update to 1.04 and see if it works Happy

I called Activision for the sixth time yesterday. The agent asked me for my PSN account and my mac address. I gave them to him and he said that he would contact technical support. I received this email today:

"Hello Nick,

After further investigation I received information showing that the PSN ID "merchantman1" is banned from playing Black Ops II.

Unfortunately there is nothing Activision can do about the account being banned as that is all handled by the developers of the game. Bans for hacking, cheating or other behavior that violates the terms of service are final and will not be discussed. Activision Customer Support will not be able to reverse any ban on your account. For information on what is a bannable offense please check the following:

- Treyarch has a forum thread discussing their ban policy:

You must login or register to view this content.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact us again via email or telephone.

Thank you,

Christian A.

[/i]

I never even played on the account before. I never backed the game up. I never played online before. I never modded "hacked" it. Fuck Treyarch. Fuck Activision. Fuck Call of Duty.

New info:
Don't call them about your account being banned. They won't do anything about it. They will just say sorry for the inconvenience, unfortunately, there is nothing that we can do about account bans.
I asked them if I could contact anyone else about it and they said no.
Banned on a game I never even played on. lol

TLAwesome faceR:
If you can't connect to the servers now, it's official: You're [were?] BANNED
Delete any homebrew on your PS3. Wait 3-4 days. Create a new account or go on an account that has never even started Black Ops 2 and you should be able to play.

Delete all of your Homebrew from your console, wait 3 days or so, play on an account that has NEVER started BO2 before or make a new account.

That sucks. I'll tell you, you didn't miss much with MW3, it was shit. Although, I know how you feel: "I don't care if I didn't miss much, I still want to play the damn game"

Ive been playing on a sub account that got on the servers up to level 12. As long as it wasn't the first account you experienced problems with you should be fine. (theory).

I tried everything but this. Didn't work. Deleted all homebrew, suddenly worked. What other variable did I miss?

I have also rang them up, what i got told is that if you have had any recent CFW or any modes eg eboots, patches etc, it will reflect on the BO2 Server error. therefore console banned from black ops 2

I can confirm this unfortunately. I am banned for no reason. The account I have max prestige on legit. And 33 platinum trophies on. I just just called they to find this out.

You see this is what I don't understand is that if they (treyarch) know a way to detect people using CFW then I'm sure everyone would have been console banned by sony.

When I contacted support about this stuff, they replied with the typical copy and paste bullshit, but never said I was banned. However what I can confirm is that if you completely delete all of the homebrew and wait, you will be able to connect to the servers again on a new account.

But I & some others like me i'm sure want to play on our main/primary account(with psn friends list people), and not on new account :/ it's not the same & pointless for me.... (SIGH) Sad :(

I hear ya man.
I sent a message to all my friends and told them to add my side account if they wanted to play BO2.
I'm not even going to bother playing multiplayer, just zombies as there is no point in leveling up as you said.
