*Puts tin foil hat on* I'll just say this, I am now able to connect to the BO 2 servers on my *banned* PS3 now that I've deleted my homebrew, but not my patches. I don't want to say the game was searching my PS3, but my experiences and others say it might have (which is incredibly illegal might I add.)

Too right. I've been considering calling Activision and when they refuse to explain the ban threaten a civil law suit to force them to A) Explain the ban B) Justify how they can ban people for 'breach of terms of service' when there are no terms of service forms to agree to (whereas on FIFA and other games there are and you have to accept) and C) how they found out what people had been doing on their PS3 - seemingly without Sony's knowledge either because if Sony knew they'd have also banned the same PSN Accounts.

Yeah that's the problem because nowhere does it say that the game will search the PS3 for unsigned software (although we can only hypothesize they do this based on our experiences.) Our best bet is to ask and see what the hell the problem was to begin with, where it took us a month to be able to play on our main consoles and accounts... Its just some serious BS and they need to explain this and apologize because shit like this does not go unpunished.

Thing is though, Activision/Treyarch know they can get away with it because if you were to try a law suit, there would be a few problems;
Firstly, they'd be like 'You were banned for pirating the game and having a CFW PS3 etc' and you can't really deny it, so in effect you'd have to kinda confess to a crime yourself whilst trying to get them and secondly, they'd have the best lawyers in the world on like £1million a minute and just blow you outta the water.

Which is why you would want a class action lawsuit. That being said I don't support suing in a case like this, but I still want answers. And I didn't think jailbreaking a PS3 was against the law where I live.
