I've found this to be one hell of a good gun. Really nice for SnD.

Not all the time, but certainly most of the time. Infact, the guns with the most kills for me are assault and snipers.
It's not until recently when I found the Skorpion EVO to be a sick gun for hardcore kill confirmed that I began using them every game.

If you liked the ACR from previous CoD's then try the MTAR. The M27 has to be my personal favourite though.

Yes everyone uses SMG's on BO2!! I noticed when I die, I'm always getting killed by a SMG because I've been using Assualts since the game came out. I have 2 more guns until I diamond out my Assualt class. I will honestly say that it sucks to level up all Assualts because some of these guns suck asss. If you are starting to use AR's after using SMG's for so long, this is going to be VERY TOUGH for you. BE PREPARED TO RAGE - LOL!!! The guns you want to avoid are the SMR, SWAT and the FAL (unless you like SINGLE FIRE). The AR's I recommend are Type 24, TAR and M8. All 3 of these guns will have an SMG feel too them. The AN 94 is a good gun but BIG and the M27 is a very accurate gun at long range. I'm currently ranking up SCAR H and SMR, which the SCAR H is a good gun but I recommend the TYPE 25, TAR and M8. Have FUN leveling up these guns to the MAX. CHEERS!!!

I use SMGs 65% of the time. 35% on Assault Rifles mostly the FAL single fire. On MW3 I was probably 45% SMG but that depended on maps. Maps like Interchange, Gulch, Terminal in particular werent favorable for SMGs. On BO2 the only map bad for SMGs is Turbine and maybe Drone. Key is how using the weapons in advantageous situations. Certain spots on maps I avoid depending on the weapon I am using. I see why they nerfed Rapid Fire because people would really rage lol. MW3 I was either MK14 mid-long range precision or rapid fire+extended mags SMG guy.

Stock, silencer, extended mags and of course laser sight best SMG attachments. No SMG needs any sights except maybe Chicom but it's usuable without.

Most of the map are to damn small. Then you have the EVO with the crazy fire rate. If you are using a AR and going against SMG or even shotguns. Chances are you going to lose. Raid, Turbine and Plaza I use the AN94. Other maps I just use SMG.

Turbine is my least favorite map with Drone being close 2nd. If you snipe or are one of those LMG+Target Finder people they're good maps.

yea I hate those maps too. Slums, hijacked are my favorites.

yep, all other cods, world at war, cod4, mw2, mw3, bo1 i always used assault rifles the most, now since black ops 2 i've mostly only been using smgs, the AN94 is good though but i still don't use it, the scar-h was my favourite gun in mw2 and 2nd favourite in mw3 and i havn't even given it a try yet lol

I don't use SMGs at all i'm a camper so i need range with not a lot of recoil
