(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); In this thread I want to talk about Tactical and Lethal Grenades. I will explain why I hate certain types of nades but also why there is little reason to not use them.

I will say I use Tactical Mask in all my classes except two and it is a must have to counter those Shock Charges and people tossing concussions/flash bangs.

Frag Grenades: Treyarch definitely has a hard-on for these. In BO1 and BO2 these are super powerful. What I hate about them is people LITERALLY just toss them when they spawn and pray. Go try and capture a B flag on any map and listen to how many Frag pins you hear bouncing and rolling around. This borderlines on Nooby to me personally but a well cooked grenade kill is rewarding.

C4: I am guilty of using these, in fact my 6th most kills come from these. More kills with these than Assault Rifles haha. People seem to hate these but unlike frags you can't just throw them from spawn hoping for a bounce and they are very good for taking people out of camp spots in buildings. I love throwing these in the windows overlooking B Flag on Raid, and Overflow. They take timing and I also "panic" C4 if a guy is chasing me.

Semtex: My second favorite because although you can just chuck and pray at least they won't bounce and roll and stick to enemy legs.

EMP GRENADE: This is by far the best tac grenade if not overall nade in this game. It's VERY VERY VERY ANNOYING although the benefits are plenty.

1.) You get 50 score for whoever you kill or gets killed by it(same as other tacs)
2.) It's like a mini radar. Meaning just chuck it in a direction and if you get hitmarker, enemies are there.
3.) It destorys Sentry Guns, Betties, Claymores, Shock Charges, Guardians meaning you could get a 150 score.
4.) This shit works even if you THROW IT AT A FUCKING WALL. Lord help us against the Scavenge users of these.
5.) The most obvious thing it does which is takes out enemy radar for like 10 seconds. Which is really big advantage if the enemy has an Orbital VSAT up since you can just throw it somewhere and bam.

Now I have a Hard-Wired class to counter this and of course that's the positive that they can be countered but holy shit people literally just chuck frags and emp grenades to the heavens and pray. It's pretty clear that as annoying and borderline nooby as it is to throw EMP grenades with no clue if anyone is around it is the best tac equipment. Black Hat was a good choice but that takes a little more effort than throwing some shit in the air.

Seems like since trash players can't get EMPs like they did in MW3(yes I am dissing Support again), they just chuck an EMP nade and although it isn't as strong as MW3's version it lasts 1/3 the time and gets a shit ton of points. I'm not saying EMP nade users are trash btw...

What I have begun to do is just run EMP the streak and call it in the minute enemy calls in Care Package or higher to get my revenge that way :troll: People talk about "overpowered' SMGs/Shotguns and camping, and blah. But I guarantee some of you that complain about that stuff have literally just chucked multiple EMP grenades at walls and pray and throw Frags. My advice is worst case have a Flak Jacket, Hard Wired and Tac Mask class ready to go.

Frags always seem powerful in 3arc games. I do enjoy pick 10 though.

Yeah, I agree. Not knocking the pick 10 system, just saying that since every single item in the pool cost 1 point it is only fair that grenades have the same value and power as an extra attachment or an extra perk.

One thing I have been doing lately is going low in the score streak list and putting on the sentry gun. I also the trophy system and place it somewhere out in front because the sentry gun is a magnet for emp nades and as long as the nade is in the air when it reaches the TS, it will be destroyed. I also run scavenger with this class and continuously replace the trophy system.

Since the emp nades are used so much (guilty as charged) you will not believe the points the trophy system will get you when you use it in conjunction with the sentry gun......you just have to be able to replace the TS because of course it's only good for two .

lightweight is all about speed, i love lightweight and stock, gun up move fast and kill easy, if you are more mobile your harder to hit and thereby harder to kill.

give it a go try a gun with stock and also use lightweight and you can just keep moving.

Well I like it because I sprint EVERYWHERE. Makes it easier to get into doors or alleyways if I'm being shot at from behind and time enough to throw out my shock and wait for them to pop around the corner Winky Winky

I feel like the faster I can maneuver my route on the map (I like dexterity too, because I climb over shit) the better chance I have of catching an enemy off guard and putting a few rounds to their dome Happy

I am ashamed to say that I'm just now trying the stock out for my skorpion, because going through gold on every other gun I could just hip fire at their upper torso and hear that ever so satisfying *clink*

Imo the emp granade taking out your sentry, guardian and so on is bs.... I mean seriously i have to work for kill streaks only for some kid who gets this grenade for free, with no challenge/skill required and BAM one toss somewhere close by, even through a wall and its all gone for me. Simply stupid that its so powerful

Yeah it's also amazing how people don't know how to counter things. ONE emp nade even in the ballpark of a Sentry destroys it yet green guys will just let a Sentry destroy them. Also ONE C4 will destroy Wall-E Jr aka AGR. It's funny watching people pump bullets into it while getting shot instead of one C4.

Emp nade probably shouldn't work through walls. That trophy system idea isn't bad though as another counter. You guys should really consider having Hardwired on an objective class or even fast hands to throw back frags.

I understand and pre this last patch I heard(too late) that the lightweight+stock was really good. I'm just saying it's not worth it. Hardline to help get my VSAT+ easier, Ghost to avoid UAV or even Flak Jacket to avoid nade spam just seems so much more beneficial than a speed increase. If Marathon Pro 's unlimited sprint was in this game I would use it. Maybe if I used LMGs I would use Lightweight as well. It just honestly honestly seems like one of those perks people use just to be different lol.

I get what it does I just can't see how an SMG/shotgun user would need to run faster. If you use lower streaks then maybe Hardline could be replaced. I've daw vids where running with your backup knife gives you similar distance.

Flak Jacket on Domination is a must. Nades are a pain in the ass in this game. I think I get killed by them at least 3 a game. I love EMP nades. Nothing like taking out a sentry gun, guardin, AGR or some bitches target finder

You know you're playing a noob when in the middle of a gun fight he's pulling out a frag grenade or throwing one from his spawn the beginning of a Domination game lmao.

I didn't think about the Target Finder, that is a good use. We were playing a very aggressive team on Plaza and I admittedly had to briefly camp the entrance from C in the Dubstep room while my teammates capped B and I killed like 3 guys all running behind each other. I checked my theater later and I shit you not, between the three of them they just randomly chucked 5 emp nades and 3 frags oh and a shock charge.

Plaza can be a pain to play on Domination. I typically like to cap B, then push from behind in the enemy spawn to flush guys off the roof and triple cap so I can get capture kill points but it's so hard getting through the dubstep room. That map sometimes is just about maintaining a spot. It's one of my favorite maps but if the enemy takes over the club AND is on top of a fucking roof with a sniper or target finder you might as well just prepare for a battle. So many nade tosses smfh.
