Regarding your point that you think competitive is pointless unless money is on the line. I agree with that statement but again it's peoples preference as in competitive it takes a lot more skill and involves a lot more teamwork and tactics which in MY opinion is a lot more fun, whereas public is a lot easier.
Plus people like myself prefer competitive because it eliminates majority of the campers and also the people that use silly classes although most of them people that use silly classes take the piss for fun but it can still get annoying. But overall I agree with everything you say in your post, although my main reason for arguing in this thread is because people judge people off of youtube gameplays

They shouldn't because that means nothing.
But anyways, thanks for your post!
You agree with my post yet thumbs it down? :dumb:
I don't think people who are good at pubs thinking they are "all this and that" is so wrong. Especially when competitive guys feel the exact same thing. Especially since competitive guys are more apt to use the same 2-3 guns, neuter the game with more rules and take somewhat of a snob approach like you sort of have done.
Unless a guy goes around saying he is the greatest player in the world then what's wrong with a player thinking he is good if he has the stats and gameplay to back it up. Just because someone doesn't play competitive doesn't automatically mean they can't be good for what they play. Most competitive guys were pub stompers at some point. I'm sure most of your Youtube videos won't be in competitive settings, they'll probably be against pub guys anyway.
I doubt some of the beast players couldn't form a competitive team and be very good. I get what you're saying but it still comes off as pretentious. Almost like telling a guy with a 360/PS3 on a big screen TV with surround sound that, "well unless you're on a high level PC you don't know what gaming is."
