That’s according to company head Mark Lamia, who told CVG that in terms of development the two games are very much separate.

When asked how Black Ops will go about topping Infinity Ward’s game, Lamia replied: “We started Black Ops a year before Modern Warfare 2 came out. So we didn’t ask ourselves that question because they were making their game and we make our game. We’re two totally different developments, two totally different creatives.

“What we did think was we’re going to make a Call of Duty game and people expect another great experience,” he added. “We obviously had a lot of confidence that Infinity Ward would make a great game but that game hadn’t come out yet so we couldn’t draw anything from it and weren’t going to.”

“It was all about what we wanted to create and what that was is something new and fresh – give players some variety, give people a reason to come back to Call of Duty and get some new experiences.”

atleast they have spent alot of time on the game

so its still in development they said they know evry problem in MW2 they said that already compare the 1st misson to 2nd one you can tell 1st misson wasnt done 2nd one might be more then halfway done.game is still in development.you never know

they always start a new cod 2 year b4 release... i.e cod 8 has probably been started when mw2 came out and cod 9 may be started when cod 7 is released... get the jist?

they wont start cod 8 nd 9 1 year apart... cod 9 will start when cod 8 come

wrong, takes more than a year to make a highly polished game.

but like they might not have pro perks which are like so much better since u actually try for something. like the titles and emblems and prestige challenges and like just stuff in general that was improved from cod4 and cod5...those things might not b in cod7 which is gunna suck. but then again they might have some other better stuff but i still doubt it will b good. since i really thought black ops was gunna b beast since they could use things from cod6. all i know that will b better is character customization

looks like they slacked a bit on mw2 then.
