the Hardened and Prestige Editions of Call of Duty: Black Ops have been revealed by the allocation of the games Universal Product Code (UPC). No official announcement has yet been made by Activision or Treyarch, but details are likely to emerge in due course.

The release of Call of Duty would not be complete without a limited or collectors edition featuring some kind of extra in-game content or keepsake souvenir. The contents of both packages are likely to be revealed at the GamesCom event in Germany next month, or closer to the games release date of November 9th, 2010.

Last year Activision published ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2′ Prestige Edition bundled with the Hardened Edition and a set of night vision goggles, this year it will be interesting to see how the Prestige Edition of Black Ops could supersede that?

The retail price for both ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops’ Hardened and Prestige Editions are expected to be $79.99 and $149.99 respectively.

Eh, I'd rather get the regular edition.
