It looks to me that you can play split screen with someone at your house a bit like halo

I used to want this for MW2 cause some of my friends dont have a PS3, but now that I think about it some people use it in a bad way. Ex. you could use your 2nd controller as a 2nd life in SnD, just hide somewhere until you die on your 1st player...
