Still gotta get money from somewhere to patch, host servers and other such things. Don't try the 'they have all the money in the world' line. Yes, they do, but with many people torrenting this it'll lower the involvement of Treyarch online as they'll be getting paid less therefore less desire to work

This pirating thing is getting out of control, Activision and Treyarch are in the business of making games and making money. Yes they are large companies with unlimited resources but how would you feel if you worked for 2 years on a project then it gets stolen from underneath you. This is why there talking about charging people to play online and all that B.S. because people steal it so there like F' it let's figure out how to make money another way. This is why I can't for the life of me figure out why ACTIVISION signed that deal with Microsoft they have an exploitable console that I'm sure cost them millions in lost revenue. I just don't think playing the game 3 weeks early is worth getting banned or who the hell knows what other consequences will come along with it, this is just my opinion.

your right, but actually dude if you think about it that's technically stealing (right?) if they could prove you did it, couldn't you get into some legal trouble as well not just banned from a game?

Anyone that isn't on the legit codes list should be banned. I'm not very familiar with JTAGS but I guess you can just unban your self. Treyarch should just find a way where anyone who has the game early gets there rank locked or something? Ya it's cool seeing all these gameplay videos but it just ruins the fun of it. And if this affects me in anyway I'll be pissed. Treyarch should just take the servers down. Or open a new server that won't get leaked.

Well yeah, that's why I said "whatever other consequences come from it" I mean think about it they go after people "SOMETIMES" for movie torrents and were talking about a $10 movie at the theater or $25 bluray think what they will do over a $60 game. Obviously Activision can't go after the thousands and thousands of people who have a pirated copy because it would be impossible to track everyone down but you better beleive they will go after the first few who are responsible for the leak and uploading to online and stuff and make an example out of them. I honestly think ACTIVISION & TREYARCH only have one hand to play here that is push the release day up to say next week or two weeks from now and release it.

They took the server down early today and closed the BETA!..I'm with you I like seeing the videos and all but in the long run I don't want the leak to come back and affect me and my gaming experience.
