(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); First of all I want to tell you im using Tritton ax pros. For some reason on black ops you can't hear the enemies footsteps even if there not using ninja. At first i though maybe if i get get ninja pro, I might be ble to hear them but, that didnt work either.

Does anyone else have this problem? Is this just how the game is gonna be or do you think there gonna fix this problem?

And Fusion, you can't throw money into this! You can use money in everything if you really wanted, doesn't make it right.

Putting money into something competitive to gain an advantage is generally considered wrong. Take sport for example, it's like bribing a referee; giving you an unfair advantage.

And before you go waltzing on about the fact the game supports 5.1; I'm blaming Treyarch for that. As for anyone using a headset, literally speaking you're doing nothing wrong. But morally you're giving yourself an unfair advantage and are therefore morally in the wrong.

^^ Not worded great, but I hope you get the gist of what I'm saying.

You're blaming Treyarch for making a game in current technologies? What game or film doesn't use surround sound since about 5 years ago?

How is it anything like bribing a referee. Just because you have a headset does not mean you will win.

For you to even think that someone using a headset is doing something morally wrong is completely naive.

That's on par with saying people with a HDMI telly are morally wrong because those with 576i can't see people as well in the distance. It's just that having a TV is mandatory and also a lot more popular then having a headset as it's more widely used.

Sorry mate, this isn't an opinion, you're just wrong. I'm not having a go, but having a headset is no more wrong then having faster car then your next door neighbour. If you feel it's unfair and so much of game - save up and buy one. I made a thread on the gains from just using a pretty good pair of headphones.

Most games won't give you an advantage just for spending $150+ on a headset.

The advantage it gives you means 9 times out of 10 in a 1 vs 1 situation the guy with the headset will win.

There's a reason MLG players all use headset; they'd have no chance if they didn't.

I actually don't know anyone in the situation you described, but that's probably because HD is the modern standard. 5.1 is just an (expensive) accessory.

It would be if you had a drag race(something actually competitive).

Believe me I'm going to if Treyarch fix the sound-whoring, as I'll have no choice.

My k/d from SnD over the last 3 days(in BO) has been over 3.00, I have no doubt that if sound-whoring had been going on it would be well under 2.00. Just goes to prove that the most un-skilled of players can become instantly successful in-game by spending money on a headset.

But as I said; if Treyarch tries to fix sound-whoring I'll have no choice but to buy a headset. Sucks but if you can't beat them, join them.

Trust me on this one. They wont fix it as it's not an issue. Currently you can't hear the footsteps as you should, that they have to fix as that's not how it should be. They even marketed a gaming headset made by tritton (The AX Pro) rebranded under Mad Catz I believe.

You must login or register to view this content.

To me it sounds like you take the gaming semi serious to serious, so you'll be doing yourself a favour buying some and then you will hear the game how it's meant to be and then you'll see it no more wrong then the big telly like I said.

If you do want a recommendation, I've had the pleasure of testing out a lot of the common headsets on the market and recommend one for your style/taste and price range.

Bribing the referee is not a good example. A better example would be, say buying better cleets for football, buying better gloves. OR BUYING BETTER PLAYERS. There is nothing wrong with buying a headset, as it does give you an advantage, but it doesn't mean YOU have a disadvantage. Just because you have it, doesn't make you insta-skilled. You have to actually be able to use it. I don't have a headset and I have a 2.7 kd, I don't thin I'm at a dis-advantage.
