Ill start by saying i loved Cod4, never played w@w, and loved mw2 for the most part. Maybe its just how treyarch rolls.. but anyways everytime i put a suppressor on my gun, i get killed. A LOT. I mean i can put 10 shots in a guy, and he can put 6 shots in me without a silencer and kill me easy. So i dont use them at all. What are you opinions on them?

If you want to last in Search and Destroy, I'm afraid it's a must, if you don't want to use them, stay away from Search and Destroy.

I use it all the time, one of the best attachments, haven't found that it puts me at a disadvantage in a direct 1 on 1 confrontation, but does let you get more kills on the unexpecting, and people can't come after you.
If you don't like it or can't get it to work for you, then try finding something else, or getting used to it, its my favorite attachment along with the low power g11 scope.

Really? I find it the other way around. without a silencer, I tend to hold down the trigger, on say the famas, and it takes a whole clip until the guy dies. with a silencer I can take my time if they don't know I'm there, and if I burst fire (like how the famas was in mw2), then I almost never take more than 4-5 bullets. Although... in close-quarters combat, I find that hit detection is suddenly 100x worse, and silenced weapons don't work

Took me about 3 kills until I started to love it.. it was crap for those 3 kills, then it seemed to need half as many bullets as it did the first time It's hard to explain silencers, they seemed to actually help.. but i can't put a name to it.

Search and destroy it is a must to go ninja style thats probably the only case id use it.

And definitely i agree that its easier to kill someone sorta burst firing tapping your fire button with a silencer

only thing i hate is that i always end up in 1 on 1 confrontations because its so hard to hear people walking around on BO. ah well. I just gotta play more and get more comfortable ahha

Actually, a silencer isn't a MUST in Search and Destroy. I use a grip on my ak74-u and still get huge scores like 19-1 and stuff. But it depends on the gun really. I personally use it on most assault rifle classes but not on snipers or run around classes.

I dont know about you but i always get easy kills with a gun that has a suppressor attachment

I prefer a silencer considering all the Iron sights in the game are workable. It might just be you :p
