here is my 2 cents ...

for me 1.02 still connects since I already have a working playlist... and still saves xp... so I don't think there is such thing as server versions... it's just a client requirement for sending information to their servers that its sent to the ps3 when loading the game ( going to multiplayer) ...

the only thing they did was reverted to a broken playlist so we can't reach their servers when loading with 1.02 ..

or at least there is no major diff between 1.02 & 1.03 cause still takes the data from my 1.02 ps3.....
or 1.02 servers still running TODAY...

So youre saying that you can still play with your 1.02 patch? Correct me if i'm wrong.

What ur saying is true but the problem is not in the patch it's in the playlist that u get on when u connect to the server ... They did not "take down" the 1.02 server ... They just changed the playlist into a non playable one .. So if we can find a way to go on an older playlist all our problems would be solved ... If we can get on an older playlist then there is no need for an older patch we can do it on the current one.. Hope I cleared up some stuff for u guys

even if your able to get on 1.02 whats the point??basically everyone here want 15th prestige..and....they cant get it so really this is worthless

The Patches you download, are mainly game data fixes like..

The playlist are client directions, there is only ONE server in the whole of PS3 Black Ops.. The Playlist is just a little tree, that link everyone to a New ROOM.. The 1.02 new playlist has lead us to a Lock door.. if that makes sence.

CORRECT! i can still go online and play CT with 1.02 and xp gets recorded to their servers

yep ... the only difference that I still have the correct path on 1.02 so i can still do the glitch.... but is worth less cause you need another person to do it ... and you guys don't know the route to get to my game..

What if you could get the server error that takes you to the screen with cokored squares? Could you then do the prestige glitch by yourself?
