This is what sony uses to sign files i do believe.

There is no hope of "cracking" it.

There are a few methods of going about trying to find the correct keys used. PM me for details but I wont be giving them out to anyone who is not VERY well known in this community. there are about 5 people im willing to discuss this with. If you dont have at least 2000 rep dont bother sending me a pm please.

sorry to dash everyones hopes, but this doesnt look good lol

And I got the .self file via Open Manager and backed up Black Ops and the files off of my FTP server. And for the record its retail and I use it as a reference.

You are correct, I did mean bytes. Sorry for the typo It was late. I used the debug 1.03 t5mp, as It shows the same code. I cant see them going to such lengths to ecrypt these files, unless sony chipped in some funds. Otherwise that could be their server ecryption. Ive been working on finding software that deliniates the exact unknown encryption type, and possibly ways to get throught it. My feelings are this is a smoke screen.

Yep... or maybe a possible challenge, I know RSA offers people payout rewards if your can crack the encryption in the file they have you download... So I wouldn't be all surprised if Treyarch is watching us to see how long it takes us to crack the algorithm lol. But I agree on the smoke screen part.

I second this, it's hard trying to explain something you know a lot about to someone who don't. Most of the people on this site don't really know what this means (including me) so the responses and feedback isn't so great

i never said i can hack the game, i was giving someone a hint at how to get the decompressed gsc files b/c they were struggling and i know how

and there is hope, just gotta come from a different angle, we wont be able to crack sony's signature encryption using brute force, we either have to go around it, or find it via hypervisor dumps, bruteforcing it = no hope

The only file encrypted by sony in this game is the executable.
Everything else is Treyarchs. What your seeing in the executable
is used for the demonware server packets, not the .ff files.
