(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); If a debug .self is used with a BM, it can be edited freely without any hassle of decryption.

Here are some useful hex locations in t5mp_ps3f.self:

6A 75 6D 70 5F 68 65 69 67 68 74 00 00 00 00 00

70 65 72 6B 5F 6B 69 6C 6C 73 74 72 65 61 6B 52

73 63 72 5F 78 70 73 63 61 6C 65 00 00 00 00 00

65 43 6F 64 50 6F 69 6E 74 73 00 00 00 00 00 00

Now.. where can we get a debug self for BLUS30591?

SELF editing is what happened with these infamous hacks.

Here is a download of the .SELF: You must login or register to view this content.

Would you like a tutorial on how to run these custom scripts how about no, and why no? Because smartasses piss me off. You want a tutorial on how to change a simple dvar ( NOT SCRIPT ) then for heavens sake LEARN PPC and stop trying hard with a hex editor :black:

EDIT: To everyone asking for the debug executable ( 1.03 ) Treyarch WILL NOT put them on the server no more ( thank the xbox scene for that one ) So unless you don't no how to decrypt the .self your shit out of luck.

with playstation i thought it was sony that put up the debug patches prior to releasing the retail version rather then tryarc having control...

Two people when SE7 has a whole managed hex list? There's way more than two people that can do it..

Are you a bit slow? How about you RE READ what i wrote. If you still dont understand then keyword (xboxmb). Your looking into the kiddie tutorials on how to change dvar values in a XBOX executable. If you want to change dvar values then keep looking theres tuts everywhere.

I'm not slow at all.. what was done in these hacks? Only DVAR values were changed.

Hey one quick question. PPC is the code which is basically like assembly which you can see in IDA right? So I found an equation where you can convert exact memory location into a hex offset with a segment value. SO then if I find the DVAR int value deep within the PPC or whatever it is on IDA then I could take that memory location and plug it into the equation I spoke about earlier then find the acutal value stored in that memory address... And if you edit it then you could get some DVARS working possibly and you could also possible edit your prestige, money, and so on.. Correct?

Also if you afraid from sharing info with because you don't really want me to beat you to the chase lol. Please don't. right now I am not even jailbroken so I am just trying to learn from you guys so I can understand hacking more because I do believe its a fun thing to work on (along with c++) but I can't implement it for my own presonal gain of cash... And if I do hack it before you (I dont think its very likely) I will give you and DerekTrotter (and maybe Michael just because he is cool and helped me before) my hacks. Because you guys have been so helpful in helping me learn how to hack and in learning how the ps3 works deep inside...

Your point? COD4 GRAD0_MP, CM, hacks where only dvar values right? Im pointing out to you that theres more than one way. Proof? Well obviously these work on 3.50 :O

And yes PPC REALLY it plays a huge part in all this = D

Yeah, you're right.. well if you say there's more than one way, we'll have to wait.. you have your methods as we all know.
