I love smart girls. ♥
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); If a debug .self is used with a BM, it can be edited freely without any hassle of decryption.

Here are some useful hex locations in t5mp_ps3f.self:

6A 75 6D 70 5F 68 65 69 67 68 74 00 00 00 00 00

70 65 72 6B 5F 6B 69 6C 6C 73 74 72 65 61 6B 52

73 63 72 5F 78 70 73 63 61 6C 65 00 00 00 00 00

65 43 6F 64 50 6F 69 6E 74 73 00 00 00 00 00 00

Now.. where can we get a debug self for BLUS30591?

SELF editing is what happened with these infamous hacks.

Here is a download of the .SELF: You must login or register to view this content.

You talkin to me?
I've been investigating this with some of my friends for like 5 days, and it's not that hard, the only problem that I'm having right now is that I compiled the .self with the 1.92 SDK so when I click multiplayer it takes me to XMB.

@Fierce: Yes, PPC is the code that IDA uses.

Are you running the executable on a test/PSJB console?

Ok thanks for being someone who reads my long posts lol. And responding! So Proz do you think my method could work if I used the leaked 3.41 sdk to encrypt or compress my self of whatever?

Yeah, but it takes me to XMB because it's compiled with the 1.92 firmware. I'm going to get the latest leaked SDK (I think it's 3.40?).

Greetings, pr0z.

Yeah, most likely it could work, I'm doing something similar.

Here is the retail .self file... It most likely is the one that came out originally with the game. Since I got it from my back up

You can't compile the executable because your dont have the source code, but if your just using make_fself it should work no matter what version it is. Oh and the 3.40 SDK leak did not include the compilars, it was just the /bin/ folder and a few others i think :S

EDIT: and geez why is everyone posting these Sony executables?! They are warez! Just asking for a raping from sony xD

Yeah, I'm using "unfself" to decompress it, then edit it, and then compress it using "make_fself_npdrm". But it's weird that it takes me to XMB.. :wtf:

@Offtopic: I agree with you on the Sony Executables, but sometimes they're necessary.. :/
