Read those updates. Have either IW or 3ARC ever done updates like that? Nope.

I know this game is a PS3 exclusive, but still, people need to realize there are other developers that make huge updates for free. Just do some research, this updates ads features that you would expect from "Mag 2"
(ie: what Activision sells for $60, these guys give free)

I know most of you probably hate this game because it is so different from the COD series, but that is irrelevant. I just want you to look at the passion this guys have for helping the community and the hard work they do.

Anyways, why do you think 3ARC/ IW don't do this things...lazyness? Can't do it because of bad teams or something (ex: coding)? Just want to know your opinion, thanks.


PS: I used my grandma's 512kpbs internet connection on MAG. No lag at all

i don't think it's about the game itself, it's showing how mags developers are doing a massive update for free whereas activision would make it into a new game.

What so there basically giving them a whole game for free? But then again activision and their franchisee will want all the money they can get, whores :/

Well the name Call of Duty and Activision are household names. For any new content, of course they are going to make you pay, and of course 90% of the people are going to buy it. It all depends on us. If we keep buying, they will keep charging. As for smaller companies, in order to keep their fan base its almost as they have to give it for free.

Weather we like MAG as a game is not the question, he does have a point it's not even IW or 3ARC's fault it's ACTIVISION who would want to profit off of every opportunity possible it's also there share holders who want to profit. NAUGHTY DOG gave like 2 DLC's for free for UC2, so maybe not such a big DLC but getting something for free once in a while makes people feel good. ACTIVISION is at a point that they could put the "COD" name on a piece of turd and sell it, like stated above there a house hold name.

Problem is and this is the problem it software
Issues in software you need to recreate in order to fix it.
Now network coding is very hard to predict and that the problem.
So saying it broken does not help trey.

Trey could give you the same effects of ded servers however it would mean a complex rewrite of the P2P code which already does it job. Catch 22 not enough time too.
They can do some small changes which mean lass lag.

That said MAG a good example of patching however the wrong type of patching. Untested patching to see if it unbalances the game.
