Read those updates. Have either IW or 3ARC ever done updates like that? Nope.

I know this game is a PS3 exclusive, but still, people need to realize there are other developers that make huge updates for free. Just do some research, this updates ads features that you would expect from "Mag 2"
(ie: what Activision sells for $60, these guys give free)

I know most of you probably hate this game because it is so different from the COD series, but that is irrelevant. I just want you to look at the passion this guys have for helping the community and the hard work they do.

I still blame 3arc and IW for not standing up to Activision. There's always been an option to do so but they don't.

this doesn't have anything to do with developers. This has all to do with the fact that Call of Duty is the most popular franchise in like gaming history (arguable obviously), and the developers of MAG don't have that usability when making an update or game.

And thats also why a new call of duty comes out every year, because they know even if the game is total shit, people will buy it either way! MAG developers cant just make some MAG 2 and have the whole entire FPS community buy it. plus is PS3 exclusive, doesnt help

Tbh the makers of mag needed to build upon what they had cause the original base game was god awful, was just the beta with one extra map :|

This is so true. Take criterion for example they added bikes and a whole new set of missions to Burnout Paradise for free. Tbh why do we even buy COD there no major jump each year they add a couple of things its basicallly the same every year. Do you know what would make me regain some trust in activision if they gave use the Old zombie maps for Black Ops for free, I doubt it will happen though *sigh* they will probably charge £11 for 4 Zombie maps , when I paid I think it was around £15 last year for 3 Zombie maps and 9 MP maps.

Yeah the Activision do dictate to Treyarch and do decide whether a map pack should be free. But treyarch could provide their own Maps for free like with W@W. They could do Hanoi Day.

125 free updates and counting, at least 30 major ones adding a huge amount to the game.

Have you factored in that M$ doesn`t allow *free content* to be on their severs because it costs them money not the publisher. Look at Valve, they tried to give out free content on xbox 360. Guess what? They failed.
Edit: Talking about the space it takes on severs for the map packs and the updates.

Nope they can't. If they do something Activision doesn't like then they can easily get replaced and I doubt that's something they want.
