(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok so, once i did this for a mate for his WoW to dupe some stupid things, forgot about it.

Anyway... With packet sniffing you can intercept data send on your internet. So if you setup your ps3 to use a proxy, and your computer (ofc with a sniffer) the ps3 proxy software, wouldnt it be possible to intercept anything?
I dont know anything about possible encrypton etc cause im not that tech. So if anyone has experience with "Wireshark" maybe YOU could try something?

Shoot someone 150xp - intercept package - modify - send back 100000000xp. As an example ofc.

As i said, just an idea. Dont know exactly how this package injection stuff works.

Ur not notified about sending. If you sign in to msn, it sends a package to their server to sign you in and sends a package back for your contact list. Its just data. But i dont know if they can be encrypted which i think they are... Thats why i posted a theory for someone with skill to look into this.

If their using standard ssl encryption you could use a man in the middle attack to bypass the encrytion. But your out of luck if they are using custom encryption.

That just leaves things such as GPD mods that give you 50,000 XP per kill. But these work at the Application Layer, not at the Network Layer. In certain modes like Local Splitscreen and Combat Training, the COD servers trust the host (this cuts back on load on their servers and also makes these modes more vulnerable to hack).

But online, the host is not trusted by the COD servers. Everything is validated, so unless you're exploiting a coding error that's built-in to the game, you won't be able to hack the game into doing something it isn't supposed to do.

this. explains it all and it would be too easy and would be patched if it were to work

Domination Pro?
This would not work on BO itself even if it were possible on cod1-cod6.
BO has what is called a heartbeat system. This basically in simple terms a pinging with your console and the BO servers with a simplied conversation of,

Your console: hey BO servers
BO servers: hey what are you doing
You console: this
BO servers: K

or

Your console: hey BO servers
BO servers: hey what are you doing
You console: this
BO servers: um you cant do that (sends ban notice)

Note this is incredibly simplified for those that dont understand how all this works.

If you were to send a packet saying that kill was worth 1m xp the server after the game would go woah woah woah you cant do that.

This is how the xp is limited in games like demo to only 9500 points.

So every action needs a legit "handshake"? Makes sense.
Ohwell, atleast treyarch has 1 thing that isnt a complete fail.
