(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); If anyone has the fragfx shark, and uses it for Black ops, please tell me how much better it is then the duelshock and if you recommend it. I am seriously considering it.

If anyone doesn't know what it is, it is a pc based controller for the ps3.

Retail: $90

Reason for me putting it in this section is because it deals with any FPS shooter, and the main one I'd be using it with is black ops.

Thanks!

It's the mouse build that troubled me.
After regular use, it wore down to the point it of me having to physically modify it for the left mouse button to register a click.

Under 6 months, the mouse died all together— under regular use.

Now this may have all changed, but I've already chosen to avoid Splitfish and their crappy customer service.

PS: Careful what reviews you decide to follow...many youtube reviews on certain types of these controllers are falsified— especially those that directly show comparisons between two different mice controllers.

I have this controller now, and it is amazing. It is so much better then the average duel shock. If it does ware out after 6 months I'm calling them and going to give me a piece of my mind. Paying 90 dollars for a controller better get me something that'll last a lifetime.

I bought this, and it is absolutely amazing. The sensitivity is something to get use to, and moving up and down is hard when aiming, but overall it is awesome. It greatly increased my skill in Black ops. I love this controller. Overall, I would give it a 8/10. It does require you learning how to do it, but once you get the hang of it you wont want to go back to the duelshock.

Me and my brother are enjoying it a lot. The last 5 games in black ops look like this

K/d - 1.86, .84, 2.14, 5.4, 5.6

just out of interest, what settings(dead zone+ingame sensitivity) are you finding the best,

i'm having a better time with sensitivity of 8 and 0 dead zone ATM

Whoa, zero dead zone? I can't take that haha. I usually find it best in Black ops to be around 8 in game sensitivity and 4 dead zone.

Even though I have a fragnstein, I find 7 sensitivity in-game to be optimal. Easy to turn on a dime, but precise enough for no jitters. Of course, this depends on your controller settings such as mouse sensitivity and DZ.

The most apparent problem with mice controllers in black ops is the ability to control the choppers. Definitely much harder to do than on a DS3.

Wow, I never knew they made these.
I always wondered ever since I switched from my PC to the PS3 if they had these. Especially back in COD4 when I just got my PS3. I was like "How the hell do console gamers do this?"

Of course I'm used to it now, but wow. Thanks for the headsup. I might look into these!

With the right tweaking, these controllers can feel 98% like real mouse movement.

I can vouch for the You must login or register to view this content. for being an excellent controller. Frequently updated firmware helps a lot too.
