(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Just an idea here... So as many of you know .self files can be decrypted and re encrypted for some games. This is not possible for Black Ops yet, but If the .self files do get decrypted can't we just remove the RSA checks like the Xbox's xex? Should be somewhat similar since .self files resembles to .xex files.

1. Decrypt .self.
2. Remove RSA checks.
3. Transfer to 3.55 PS3.
4. Online mods. Yeee. Dancing

On Black Ops or PSN? You would only get banned only if you were reported though right on black ops they can't actually detect self edits themselves

You get only a x amount of dvars to enable/use which we all know
people would edit jump_height, player_sprintspeedscale etc... hmm seems like to me they will be able to detect a mod! And yes theres roughly what an average 700,000 users playing black ops a night? Well alot of that 700,000 will not be happy, and WILL report you!

Don't under estimate Treyarch lol

You can change xp value though so therefore do cod point lobbies, I think thats a good idea no?

Also you would only get your psn banned on black ops and as psn is free I'd just make a new account on psn and carry on these lobbies.

Unknown did these and nothing happened to his account btw, because they can't detect it.

They can detect it, but they won't bother until it becomes a big deal, and lots of people do it, also the only way the unkn0wn could mod .selfs online is having a debug console, or having a 3.41 jb console with PSN access or being able to sign the .SELFs before everyone else did, so it probably wasn't even well known he could do it, they could simply scan for the "important" DVAR values when you go into MP, and if they're modded they could ban you and/or overwrite them

This was when you could go online with a jailbroken console using the psn bypass payload. But that got patched then it stopped.

But now with these new tools we should be able to edit selfs and use them on normal retail consoles

Oh, ok I heard a while back theunkn0wn got online with 3.41, thought he may've done CFW or something, however i forget who said it, and i'm not sure if it was true
