Now we see people saying stuff about Blackops and how rubbish it is and how much it fails, now I think I know why this is and I have even given it a title "The Drug Addict Effect". When people start taking strong drugs it is rumoured that they are chasing the feeling that they first felt when they started taking drugs.

Call of Duty 4 was a game that started us all off on a wonderful high and started something that the gaming world was not expecting. Call of Duty 4 was and will always will be the best game of all time and the reason for that is that this game took gaming to an all new level. Every person going was playing COD4, no FIFA, no Halo, no B.F, no other games at all just COD4 and people was playing this game for months. The community played together and enjoyed the game and everything was perfect.

Now World At War came out and it jumped back to the 2nd World War and it seemed that the game took a step backwards and alot of people either moved onto other games like Halo, B.F, FIFA and even stayed on COD4. The point being we had started to lose that feeling where everything was perfect and everyone was happy.

Modern Warfare 2 was again back with I.W and alot of people loved it and played it alot more than they played WAW but yet again the feeling was still missing that we had when we had COD4.

Blackops I think is boring but is that because we are bored of Call of Duty or are we just chasing that first feeling so much making the drug addict effect all the more present. I do think though that Treyarch will never be able to give us the fun they we are after and the reason for this is, I.W are the ones that raised the bar and gave us the standard that we all expect and crave for so for me I will be looking towards I.W for the answer to our boredom.

I never really thought of it this way, but now that i am, it really makes sense.

I'm not bored at BO. I tried your SMG tips and I'm glad I can enjoy the game again. I just prestiged to 10 an hour ago.

i agree, black ops is awsome and they should make a cod4 remake

Rubbish and a fail are very strong words.
I think the game is far from a fail, I think the game is amazing, imagine if Black Ops was the very first COD (COD4-COD7, all those small problems from COD4 is gone and there is loads of nice features added.
This game is amazing, and is easily the best one, its just because it is similar in many ways to the past 3 CODs we got bored of it fast.

So my point is Black Ops is an amazing balanced and fun game, its just its too similar to the previous CODs so we got bored of it fast.

I had a 15Day play time for MW2, I had a 10 Day play time for W@W, and like a 12d for COD4.
I play the COD series a lot, and I don't want to brag, but I am pretty good at the game.
But if you think anything in Modern Warfare 2 took skill, then you obviously have very little experience in the COD series, in my opinion the only game that took true skill was COD4, Black Ops requires more skill than 5 and 6 but still not much, and W@W did take a bit of skill but was ruined by MP40 Juggs.
Killstreaks were OP in MW2 and how were they enjoyable exactly? The ones in Black Ops are way enjoyable

This is another rant thread. This is pointless, it is YOUR OPINION, not the opinion of everybody. And I totally disagree with what you say. COD4,MW2 and Black Ops are still great games for me cause I know it is very hard to create a game and nobody is perfect and will make ''THE PERFECT COD''. You guys are asking so many things to Treyarch. They cannot change everything just because some of you do not like this perk,this gun or this killstreak.
Mods should create a rant thread, it would be so amazing.

The games great. The people who I see whining about being bored are the people who aren't that great or because you can't hack it. Go ahead and argue what I said, but honestly I haven't seen too many great people complain about being bored. I only get bored of stuff after like EXCESS playing it (27 days cod4) or because I'm not as good as I'd like to be at something.

agreed cod 4 will always be the best but if they had like the black ops customization and stuff in cod it would be epic
