**If you aren't sure about the FTP part, look on the forums. The End has posted a superb tutorial on how to use Filezilla correctly.**
Text Tutorial
1. Download the file that I provided above.
2. Decompress with WinRar and rename the file to "EBOOT.BIN"
3. Launch and connect to your PS3's FTP server using Filezilla or another FTP Client.
4. Navigate to Dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30591/USRDIR
5. Navigate to the location of the modified Eboot on your computer.
6. Overwrite the PS3's Eboot with the modded one.
7. (On your PS3) Quit to your XMB. Run Black Ops.
8. Click Local>Split Screen>Start Game.
9. When the game is launched, press the select button and you will see text come up telling you congratulations and what not.
10. End the game and then quit to XMB.
11. Delete your Black Ops Game Data from the PS3's Game Data Utility
12. Launch Black Ops and download the retai patch.
13. When you launch multiplayer, it will tell you that your stats were reset. This is normal.
14. Enjoy.
And before someone states the obvious and says "This has already been posted a billion times", ask yourself, did they present a video tutorial that leaves the user with no questions to ask and a matching text tutorial? Because surely if you have questions about this after watching my video tutorial, you certainly don't need to be attempting to modify anything about your PS3, less you screw it up.
OK... I was wrong this is not patched!!! But my mistake might help others.
After you have replaced the EBOOT.BIN file, make sure you are signed in or the hack will not work.I my new account was not signed in when I pressed select to mod my stats. When I restarted the game to see if it worked I noticed I had just now signed back in. I know this is probably obvious to most people but it might help some noobs like me
Thanks for this! I didn't know it really made a difference, and I am always signed in, so I didn't think about that. I'll put it in the first post.

Of course you will. You are doing a prestige hack. They aren't going to sit around and watch you get away with it..

B) Copy it over
C) Copy it over to the right directory
D) Press select.
So I made a new account 15th with 9,999,999 COD points and I hadnt even played a game yet... I was about half way through buying all the guns and attachments and I got banned already!!! They are really on top of this now so its not even worth it anymore...There is no questioning getting banned because it will happen. For me it took 15 mins!!! :jim: lol

Try to make an account, and don't even log onto the server when you replace the EBOOT. Let it be for a while, then come back in a few days and try it out.

So are you saying to make a new account and complete the mod, but then let the account sit for a few days before I go buy everything?
