My Theory?
Its probably because,
A. Everyones friends gets it so they want to play with them
B. (People like me) They hopelessly expect the new one to be better and fix all problems associated with the last one.
But thats me and my constant bitching, why do you guys buy CoD every year?

You say "Black Ops is shit" probably you just suck at it, anyway the reason why Call of Duty is popular is because the previous COD games were so succesful. ( It started to become really popular and sucessful when COD4 released)

I thought IW are gone, as Activision fired the two top producers of IW, and lots of IW employees left the studio.

I feel good when I play the game (I don't stress)
Don't anger the CoD gods. They aren't so friendly as the BBC2 gods.

I saw a thread in here of a guy telling each company which will work in the new Call of Duty game, and Infinity Ward was included.
