An open beta for the main consoles, (PS3, PC, 360) will with 100% guarantee pick up 50-75% of the main bugs the multiplayer/single player modes have with not doubt. Additionally, it will show if you need more servers and what you are missing. Even coming from a money/greed point why would you not want more people from more platforms buying the game and potentially buying more dlc? MS can't even pay probably 1/10th of the revenue so Activision, listen and stop being stupid and idiotic, there is smart greedy and stupid greedy, stop being stupid greedy like MS, and become smart greedy. You will get an even larger fan base and make more money. 360 only has so much to offer and PS3 has equally as much if not more along with PC which imo gets neglected way too much.

Are these people on some type of extremely illegal narcotic? A bug free cod means anything from glitches , ps3 freezes , to hacks . People knew codes for BOs before it was even released . Sure as of now there is no CLs on PS3 . But on xbox there are and they will soon come , Doesnt matter how many consoles they ban . My point being that Bugs/hacks are beyond a developers reach , that solely is based on the community . The best thing they can do is keep up to date and ACTUALLY LISTEN TO THE FN COMMUNITY.

theres really a beta for MOST games now a days . It doesnt matter if its open or closed , There will always be that one person who will find an expolit . its either someone in the Ranks of DEREKTROTTER/ELITEMOSSY or maybe even some randy who just purchased the game.

open beta are garbage, only PC games works, and Infinity Ward dont give a damn, best exemple: CoDMW2 and WW, thread after thread after thread, people reporting B.S and bugs and nothing really happend.
a other exemple: go on socom4 and see the hate thread, and they keep making this game worst every day and not listening to their fan

If they mean no bugs like the connection issues PC and PS3 gamers faced, sure. But if they mean no hacks or glitches they are crazy. This site is dedicated to finding glitches. If they can make a game like MW2 and COD4 with the customization and balance closer to Black Ops, that would be Epic.
The irony is MW2 was annoying but more fun mostly because of all the things people called overpowered. Black Ops has overused but no true overpowered thing and it's boring to most.
