Fresh-faced Sledgehammer Games has set its sights on delivering a 95+ rated, “bug free” Call of Duty title.

That’s according to a job advertisement posted by the studio, which confirms the firm is currently hiring for a quality assurance tester.

"The candidate will help Sledgehammer Games deliver a 95+ rated Call of Duty game 'bug free' meeting the high expectations of gamers today,” the ad reads.

Needless to say, this should come as a relief to many PlayStation 3 owners after the previous CoD outing, Black Ops, was plagued by numerous issues pertaining to the shooter’s online component.

Activision issued a series of patches to remedy the issue, though not before gamers accused the publishing behemoth for using them “like game testers.” Ouch.

As for this year's entry in the venerable series, Sledgehammer’s supposedly working alongside Infinity Ward and Raven Software on the project, which is apparently none other than Modern Warfare 3.

More as it breaks.

Cake is a lie
They should stop will these "we will stop hackers/make bug free game" crusades.

Being on this forum and Youtube I noticed we as gamers are some bitter folks, and we all think we are game critics.

Games like COD4 are great, but I wonder is it held so highly because it's older, it's our first and because THERE WERE WAY LESS FORUMS/YOUTUBE VIDS centered around COD4.

Obvious bugs, issues, 2nd Chance Prepatch aside I usually just want to link up with some friends and play Black Ops. Sometimes we take games too seriously.

Talking about Engines, "balance", etc. A lot of developers have tougher tasks now with online gaming. Because you have to make a game, THEN you have to think about trying to fix things hackers and such will try to exploit in that game.

All I'm saying is we should give our input, but at what point do we just play the game, and stop trying to backseat develop it

One thing will help them achieve a "BUG FREE" game UPON release date it's called a BETA!...LOL When will devs learn that you can not stress test the servers with "INTERNAL BETA TESTERS" or Family & Friends like Black Ops did. Look at KILLZONE 3 Beta they already released a list of updates and what the patch fixes upon release due to the feedback from the BETA. We all know that the COD franchise likes to keep people in suspense until the release day but this is getting old. A beta will help keep all the glitches and bugs down to a minimum on launch day..ehh just my 2 cents. :hitman:

In Flames Much?
Black ops was a game without any real bugs
Depends on what they mean bugs too...

Only problem black ops had was with it net code like all CODs
No way to test that apart from a beta and stress test which is public

All they have to do is have a beta. 95% of the problems will be solved.
