So the assault rifles are better OVERALL guns now. The 74u is still overused compared to other SMGs. The grip was patched and in MLG Variant you can't use rapid fire anymore. Oh and, if you're a bad player the gun you use won't make you a good player.
That's what I got from all of this.
I agree the range was nerfed it takes a lot more bullets at ranges now. It is still overused but, the grip is less effective, at least on PS3. I think that a semi good player with a 74u will win a gunfight versus a player with a HK-21.

Nothing beats the Commando. Sorrrrrry. That gun works better then any SMG and i can pick people off long range with it. Lets just say.. when in doubt, put your commando out.

I'm going to have to disagree. Everyone has that one gun that they can RAAAPPPE with. So if they use that ONE gun ALL the time, i guess you could consider them a good player (with that gun)
Take this for example... my father just started playing BO just a few weeks ago. He SUUUCCCKKKKEEDD (im talking like 0.48 KDR) but since i set him up with a Famas & an AK74U class he's been doing alot better. In alot of cases the gun can make the player... it's the rare thing to find a player who can make a gun rape.. get what im saying? How many combat records have you seen that players have 3409573409 kills with one gun? You don't run into players too ofter that have atleast 1000 kills with each primary gun.
I think im getting off topic.
But in the end.. AK74U is at the bottom of my list for awesome guns... I miss the Tar-21 & FMJ

You play noobs then, cause we all know using the Galil or the G11 on Jungle works a hell of alot better then the Shit74u
Famas + Extended mags = Triple kills.... Who wouldn't wanna use it?

The best SMG is MP5K or sometimes I use the AK74u. Most of time I use assault rifles (Famas, AK47, Commando) and Sniper I use the Classified one.
It doesn't matter the choice of your weapon, just if you know how to use it and if you are good. Also it counts towards your advatage if you know good spots on the maps, seen good players video so you can learn more and earn some tactics, etc.
Practice makes the master so...guys doesn't matter which weapon you use, if not how you use it.
