Just go to Craigslist.org and sell the PS3 on there and just be honest and tell the folks it just can't play Black Ops but the rest is fine.

no, you can not get in any trouble. There is no law saying you cant return a ps3 cause its banned from Black Ops. Thats just one game. I did this too, the person who buys it can return it, but you cant get in any trouble

this is something that honestly makes me mad , You would actually sell something you know thats broken . Think about this for a second , I Go to gamestop , and im completely broke. But i have enough money for a used copy of BOs and a PS3 that you traded in . Im excited until i figure out its banned . Unless they put a BOs disc they wont figure our , My main concern is how will you sleep at night knowing you sold something , that you purposely broke .

Tecnically they dont HAVE to do shit. If they asked you is it banned and you lie they COULD try to punish you somehow.

Prior to this whole Banning thing GS would not check the PS3 for online connection but I think since then they have changed there protocol, even if it's in a box....but it's GS you never know...LOL
